Registration is not valid without completed forms, submission of 2000.00 shekels application fee/deposit, and a signed contract.    Full Refund only till 31 March of the specific year.

Working hours:

The Daycare’s working hours are from Sunday to Thursday 07:45 – 16:30.

The Daycare is not responsible for Fridays.

Disenrollment

All children who are accepted and enrolled in our Daycare will be guaranteed a spot.  Parents are required to submit a 30-day written notice or monetary equivalent when a child is withdrawn from the program. This practice allows the Daycare time to contact those on the waiting list.   We are not responsible for providing make-ups or issuing refunds for days missed because of scheduling conflicts, illness, emergencies, vacations, or other events beyond our control.  As clearly stipulated in the contract.

Holidays

As mentioned above, the Daycare is open Sunday - Thursday from 07:45  - 16:30.   All the holidays and events are posted on the website @ www.littlemonstersdaycare.club  -

Please note that we keep the right to change certain dates of events/holidays.  You will be notified in advance.

During Orientation evening, a list of all holidays will be provided to you.  Please go through it, if anything to discuss, please do so as soon as possible.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

For children to get the most of our morning program we ask parents to drop their children off by 09.00.  Please make verbal contact with a staff member so that we know your child has arrived.  We cannot be responsible for a child that we do not know has arrived.

Difficulty with separation is not unusual for children, especially during their first weeks of attendance.  Please help prepare your child for your departure.   Do not try to “sneak away” or “slip out” as this action creates anxiety for your child.  Tell your child that it is time for you to go to work, then leave.

Prolonging your good-byes sends a mixed message to your child and can increase anxiety.   A staff member will be happy to assist you if necessary and help your child settle into an activity.

If a child is upset when you leave, please know that children usually calm down and are participating before a parent reaches his vehicle.    Please feel free to call at any time to check on your child.  Some parents find it beneficial to gradually faze their child into the Daycare.  This process may include several visits before the first day of attendance and perhaps staying only through lunch or nap time on the first few days.  Phasing-in assists the child’s adjustment to a new schedule and new program and the parents.

Please check your child’s drawer each day for messages, artwork, or other take-home items.

When picking up a child, the parent must make verbal contact with a staff member to communicate that the child is leaving.

Alternate Drop Off or Pick Up

Parents and guardians may authorize other people to drop off or pick up a child. A child will be released only once parents notify staff of changes in pick up. We do not release any child into the care of any person who wasn’t notified of beforehand.  Not even to other parents in our Daycare.

Parent Involvement

Our Daycare is focused on the child while providing a supportive environment for both parents and staff members. Your involvement is both welcomed and encouraged. We keep you informed of Daycare activities through daily reports, emails, etc.  There are also bulletin boards at the entrance of the Daycare, that may have special notices for parents.

Parent-staff member meetings are held at least once a year for all ages. This allows both of us the opportunity to share valuable information concerning your child and the program offered at our Daycare. In addition, meetings may be held at any time throughout the year, at either the request of the parent or the staff.

Please remember that drop-off and pick-up times are very busy periods in terms of transitions and adjustments.  These periods are not the best times to discuss your child’s progress or growth especially if he or she is standing with you.   The best ways to address questions or concerns are by calling the Daycare between 13:00 – 15:00 or to call Nickey after hours.  From 20:00 – 21:30

Communication

Communication is essential as we work together to meet the needs of your child. Please call, if you have any questions. We need and welcome your input.  If you have any questions concerning a certain policy or practice, please ask Jackie or myself.  I need to mention the following:  There will be a WhatsApp group for all parents and the Staff where you will receive daily messages, updates, etc.  The Vaad will also create a WhatsApp group with you, only the parents.  I am asking you that if there is anything that bothers you, anything you are unsure or not happy about, to contact me, personally.  Not to start writing your grievances on WhatsApp groups because, in the end, I am the only one that can answer you, or clear things up, or bring us to a better understanding.

Every child will also have his/her own WhatsApp group with Jackie, and myself.

Hidden Cameras and Recording devices in the Daycare

Please note:  No hidden cameras or recording devices placed by you on your child’s clothing, hair, shoes, bag or drawer is allowed in the Daycare.  If any of the staff will find anything your child will be removed from the Daycare immediately.  Furthermore, your child will lose his/her spot for the rest of the year in the Daycare.  Sending hidden recording devices into the Daycare is a criminal offense.  Little Monsters Daycare and the Staff working,  disclose full transparency and with the already existing cameras in the Daycare, we won’t tolerate the presence of any hidden device for whatever reason.

Confidentiality Policy

The only information staff members should share with parents, is information concerning his or her child. Conversations about other children, other parents, co-workers, and supervisors are unprofessional, a violation of our Policy, and in some instances illegal.

Outdoor Play

All children go outside every day.  Please send clothing appropriate for the weather.  On cold rainy days, send boots, hats, gloves, and layers of warm clothing.  During the summer, we will have lots of water play.  We ask that children wear rubber-soled shoes for outdoor play. Sandals, “jellies”, “crocs” and flip-flops hinder a child’s ability to participate and often create safety hazards.  You may provide a pair of water shoes that follow these shoe guidelines for water play.   We feel that outdoor play is important for each child, each day.

Clothing

All children need at least two complete, sets of clothing in his drawer in the Daycare.   As the season's change please check and change the outfits left at the Daycare. Young children may need several changes of clothing each day, especially those involved in toilet learning.

Diapers and Wet Wipes

You may bring in a large supply of disposable diapers for your child.  Staff Members will notify you when your supply is low.

We request from parents please bring 4 individual wet wipe packages a month. Every month.

Toilet Learning - Potty Training

We ask that you advise us when you are ready to begin toilet learning with your child. It is best to duplicate the routines and methods you are using to have consistency for the child.  To start potty training, we require the following from the child:

* To be able to say, "pee-pee" / "pooh"

* To be able to take down their pants by themselves

* To be willing to sit on the potty or toilet

Medication

Occasionally, children will need to receive medication while at the Daycare.   The Daycare does not accept any responsibility and therefore does not give ANY medication of any kind to a child.  If for example, a child needs to take antibiotics, parents can come to the Gan and give him/her the specific medicine. This also includes subscribed nappy cream.

Illness

According to the Ministry of Health Standards, a child must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of a fever-suppressant before returning to the Daycare. Please do NOT administer a fever-suppressant and bring your child to the Daycare. This is unfair not only to your child but also to the other children and staff members.

Parents will be contacted the moment a child has a fever of 38.0 degrees.  If a child has a fever of 39+ and no parent or any person on the emergency contact list is available, the Daycare will call MADA and follow any instructions given by MADA.  This also included ordering an ambulance etc.  The parents will be completely liable for any costs resulting from this.

Listed below are criteria for EXCLUDING ill or infected children from our Daycare.

FEVER when a child has 38.0, we consider this as fever.  Parents will be contacted and be asked to pick the child up from the Daycare immediately.

SIGNS OF POSSIBLE SEVERE ILLNESS including unusual lethargy, irritability, persistent crying, difficult breathing.

UNCONTROLLED DIARRHEA Defined as an increased number of stools compared with the child’s normal pattern, with increased stool water and/or decreased form that is not contained by the diaper or toilet use. Parents will be contacted after your child had diarrhea twice.  A child is permitted back to the Daycare, after 24 hours of no diarrhea and normal stool.

VOMITING Two or more times, unless the vomiting is determined to be due to a no communicable condition.

MOUTH SORES, with drooling unless the child’s physician has determined that the illness is not a communicable disease. We need written permission from the Dr, please.

RASH, any kind of rash – unless specified to us – need to be checked by the Dr and the child can return to the Daycare with written permission.

PURULENT CONJUNCTIVITIS Defined as pink or red conjunctiva with white or yellow eye discharge, often with matted eyelids after sleep, including a child with eye pain or redness of the eyelids or skin surrounding the eye.

INFESTATION (e.g., scabies, head lice), you will be notified and expected to do treatment before sending your child back to the Daycare.

IMPETIGO, until 48 hours after treatment (antibiotics) has begun.  Without any open wounds and only when the wounds are dried.

STREPTOCOCCAL PHARYNGITIS, until 24 hours after treatment has been initiated and until the child has been fever-free for 24 hours.

PIN WORM, until 24 hours after treatment was begun.

RINGWORM, until 24 hours after treatment was begun

CHICKENPOX, until 6 days after onset of rash or until all lesions have dried and crusted. Permission letter from the Dr

RUBELLA, until 7 days after the rash appears

ALLERGIES:

Currently we have a child who is allergic to EGGS

NO FOOD will be allowed into the Daycare from the outside.  Please do not send your child with ANY food to the Gan.  There is more than enough food in the Gan and we will feed your child during the day!

Classes/Chugim

The original schedule for Classes in our Daycare includes:

Theatre with Ayala

Music with David

Exercise with Keren

Discipline/Guidance

As children mature and try to gain self-control, they may lose control.  At such times, children may be redirected to another activity. Sometimes talking about what has happened eases the tension.  A child may occasionally need to sit quietly to calm down and regain self-control.  Children are never spanked, humiliated, or embarrassed.  If the behaviour is persistent, staff will examine the environment and the events which surround the behaviour.  Through observation and discussion, staff members will decide the most appropriate way of dealing with the situation. Parents will also be asked to share their ways of dealing with tricky situations.

Biting

When a child is bitten, it is a traumatic situation for both children, and both sets of parents. Yet, biting is not unusual behaviour for pre-verbal children. They may become frustrated when they cannot say “Move”, “I was playing with that”, or “You are too close”. Because they cannot speak, some children will bite. When a child is bitten, the area is cleaned, and ice may be applied. They are held and consoled until they are ready to rejoin the group.  The biter is told that biting is not allowed and that it hurts. Perhaps the best way to stop biting is to encourage language development and using words.

Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays are very important to us.  Your child’s birthday may be celebrated on the day of his birthday or any other convenient day for you.  Birthdays are celebrated during the morning hours of the day you choose.    You provide the cake, candles, birthday crown if you wish.    Please consider the age of the child when selecting food for the celebration.  No heavy sugar for children under age two. Frozen yogurt may be an alternative to ice cream. Plain cupcakes or muffins are great for 1 and 2-year-old. Please check to see if some children in the class are allergic to food.

Emergency Preparedness

Staff is prepared to deal with a variety of emergencies. During all circumstances, staff will remain calm and stay with the children. In the case of War / Operations, missile, or rocket sirens, children will be evacuated to the designated shelter of their building.  All staff members completed their 14-hour Safety Course hosted by MDA as well as the 22-hour First Aid Course.  All staff members received the necessary Diplomas, and these Diplomas are on the Bulletin board at the entrance of the Daycare.

Please make sure you provide the Daycare with at least 2 Emergency numbers – people whom we can call in case of Emergency (not your numbers).

Babysitting

The Daycare does not allow Staff members to do babysitting for clients from the Daycare.  It is completely against our policy.

Adaptation Period:

(Will discuss during Orientation Meetings in July of each year).

The following is simply a guideline for (2024 - 2025)

All new children will be divided into 2 groups.

On Sept 1st and 2nd,

Group 1 will arrive from 7:45 – 9:30.

Group 2 will arrive from 9:45 – 11:45

Parents will join and be with them during these two days.  This is a great time for us to connect with your child, show him/her that you are enjoying your time in the Daycare.  And spend time, together.

On Sept 3rd and onwards,

Parents will arrive, stay for a bit and even leave for short moments and come back.

Children, who are fine staying alone, can stay alone at this point.

From September 8th, parents are already doing drop offs at the door and from there we are getting the children into the Gan.  If there are children who still need shorter days, then we will arrange it.  Please know that if your child doesn’t adjust and keeps on crying, we will contact you to come to the yard and spend time with him.

During Adaptation period, I always bring more staff members, and we can easily end up being 6 to 7 staff members in the Gan.  There will be enough staff to make sure your child settles in comfortably.

Children will only start sleeping in the Daycare from September 8th, unless we have talked and discussed it before, and we find it suitable for your child to sleep in the first week.

Please make sure you are available for the 1st and 2nd day that your child sleeps in the Daycare.  To be here, when he wakes etc.  We will of course speak about this in advance.

For any questions, please feel free to reach out to Nickey.
